Z-City is a gamemode for Garry's Mod with realistic survival, injuries and equipment, building on the ideas of Homigrad. The gamemode and its content are distributed through the Steam Workshop.

How much does a Z-City server cost?

A suitable plan starts from €5.49 per month: you need at least 4 GB of RAM and 15 GB of disk space. Billing is monthly, with discounted 3, 6 and 12-month periods.

How do I create my own Z-City server?

Click "Launch" on this page, sign in with Google and pay. The zcity gamemode and the Workshop collection with the Z-City content are installed automatically, so there is nothing to configure by hand.

How do players join a Z-City server?

The server is listed in the Garry's Mod server browser under the Z-City tab. You can also connect by the address shown in your dashboard: open the in-game console (~) and type connect IP:port.

Can I install my own addons alongside Z-City?

Yes. Create your own Workshop collection, add Z-City, Z-City Content and Zcity appearance content plus your own addons, and enter its Workshop ID in the Startup section of the control panel.

Will Z-City keep getting updates?

Yes. Every time it starts, the Garry's Mod server downloads the current addon versions from the Workshop, so the version on the server always matches what your players have.
