How much does a Rust server with plugins cost?
From €7.49 per month: Rust needs at least 6 GB of memory. For 50 to 75 players and a 4000 map, 10 to 12 GB.
How do I install Oxide plugins on a Rust server?
Download the plugin (.cs) from umod.org and place it in oxide/plugins using the panel's file manager or SFTP. Oxide picks it up on its own, no restart needed. The plugin's settings appear in oxide/config.
How is Oxide different from Carbon?
They are two plugin frameworks. Oxide is older and more popular, while Carbon is faster and compatible with most Oxide plugins. You can switch in the Startup section of the panel (the Framework parameter).
How do I give myself admin rights?
In the server console: ownerid <your SteamID64> "name" grants owner rights; for plugin permissions use oxide.grant user <name> <permission>.
What happens to Oxide after a Rust update?
Rust and Oxide updates are downloaded automatically when the server restarts, so after a wipe update you only need to restart the server.
