ARK: Survival Evolved: mods, settings and admin
How to add Workshop mods, where the rate settings are and how to become an admin.
Mods
"Startup" → Mod ID: the Workshop mod IDs separated by commas without spaces: 1404697612,731604991. Restart and the server downloads the mods itself. Players get the mods automatically when they join.
Mods listed in GameUserSettings.ini (ActiveMods) are ignored: the parameter from "Startup" overrides them.
Rates and settings
ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/GameUserSettings.ini holds experience, harvesting and taming (XPMultiplier, HarvestAmountMultiplier, TamingSpeedMultiplier), Game.ini the fine-tuning. Edit them while the server is stopped, otherwise ARK overwrites the file on shutdown.
Admin
The admin password is in "Startup" → Admin Password. In the game: Tab → enablecheats PASSWORD. After that, use commands through admincheat, for example admincheat god.
