Schedules: auto-restart and timed commands
How to set up a daily restart, warn players and create automatic backups.
How a schedule works
A schedule is a trigger time plus a list of tasks. Tasks run one after another: you can send a command, wait, then restart the server.
The time is set with cron-style fields, in the panel's time zone:
| Field | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Minute | 0 | at minute 0 |
| Hour | 4 | at 4 o'clock |
| Day of month | * | every day |
| Month | * | every month |
| Day of week | * | any day of the week |
More examples: hour */6 means every 6 hours; day of week 1 means on Mondays.
A daily restart with a warning
- "Schedules" → "Create schedule": minute
0, hour4, everything else*. - Task 1: Send command, for example
say Restart in 1 minute(Minecraft) orbroadcast Restart in 1 minute(Rust). - Task 2: Power → Restart, with a delay of 60 seconds.
What not to do
- Don't set tasks to run "every minute" (
*in the "Minute" field): the server will be busy all the time. - A disabled schedule (the "Active" toggle) doesn't run, so check it after creating one.
