Choosing a location and ping
Which location to choose for players in different countries and what to do if the ping is high.
Ping guidelines

Choose the location closest to most of your players. Poland is usually a little cheaper; Germany is the most central hub for Western Europe.
Ping is higher than in the table
- Valheim: turn off crossplay ("Startup" → Enable Crossplay = 0) if nobody plays on Xbox/Game Pass. With crossplay, players are routed through Microsoft relay servers and the ping rises to 150–300 ms.
- If only one player has high ping, it's their provider or Wi-Fi.
Moving to another location
We will move your server for free together with the world and mods: tell support which location you want. The server address will change after the move.
