Terraria and tModLoader: version, mods, worlds

How to choose the tModLoader version, install mods and upload your own world.

tModLoader version

"Startup" → Version: latest for the latest stable one, or a specific one, for example v2026.07.3.0 (as in your launcher). After changing it, use "Settings" → "Reinstall server" (worlds and mods are kept). Players and the server must be on the same version.

Mods

  1. The .tmod mod files go into the mods folder on the server. You can take them from your PC: Documents\My Games\Terraria\tModLoader\Mods.
  2. Enabled mods are listed in mods/enabled.json:

  1. Restart the server. Players must have the same mods in the same versions.

Your own world

Worlds (.wld and .twld) go into saves/Worlds. Upload both files, set World Name in "Startup" to the file name without the extension and restart.
